Mr. Bercher Campbell

August 11, 1924 - June 17, 2008

Bercher Campbell, 83, of North Vernon, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

Born August 11, 1924 in Hazard, KY, he was the son of Thomas and Sarah Pratt Campbell, they preceded him in death. He married Arnie Holcomb on May 1, 1948, she survives.

Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the United States Army, which he served during WWII. He was a retired laborer from the hod carriers union, Local 741.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Arnie Campbell of North Vernon, two sons, Larry and Joe Campbell, both of North Vernon, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Herbert Campbell and a sister, Bulah Callahan.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Creech officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.
