Austin Franklin Smith, 24, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:53 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at home.

There are no services planned at this time. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of arrangements.

Born on October 24, 1995, in Batesville, Austin was the son of Millard and Marla (Collins) Smith. They survive.

Austin had worked for several different places after high school, which included NVIC, Earlers Industry, Mike Robinson, and Brewer's Livestock. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding 4 wheelers in his spare time. He loved mostly spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Millard and Marla Smith of North Vernon, survivors include sisters, Delaney Smith of North Vernon, and Jessica Box of Madison; brothers, Joseph Smith of North Vernon, and Erik Smith of Kentucky; grandmother, Linda Collins of Vevay; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
