Arthur V. Maschino, 82, of Celina, OH, formerly of North Vernon, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, OH.

Born August 5, 1930, in Jennings County, IN, Arthur was the son of the late Victor and Ruth Hawk Maschino. He married LaVonne Williams on February 4, 1956. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1993. He married Heidi Dietzel on March 29, 2002. She survives.

Arthur served in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955, and later became a truck driver in 1976. He was a life member of the VFW of Celina, OH. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, NASCAR and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by a son, Richard (Tina) Maschino of Bradford, OH; four daughters, Cheryl (Matt) Huth of Indianapolis, Diane (Tim) McCullough of Cincinnati, OH, Karen (Jim) Hayes of Indianapolis and Debra (Arnie) Everett of Daleville, IN; stepdaughter Chris Stanziola of Celina, OH; two stepsons, John Stanziola of Celina, OH, and Michael (Casandra) Gilbert of St. Marys, OH; twin brother Amos Maschino of North Vernon, and brother, Paul Maschino of Louisville; two sisters, Irene Simmons of North Vernon and Agnes Euler of Columbus, IN; four grandchildren, Craig and Brandy Maschino, and Joshua and Kari Hayes; 7 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LaVonne; three brothers, Floyd, LeRoy and Roger Maschino; and a sister, Sr. Juanita Maschino.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Four Corners. Rev. Joseph Sheets will officiate. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Union City Cemetery in Union City, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon, IN. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 pm.
