Arnie Campbell

Arnie Campbell, 79, of North Vernon died on August 25, 2010 at 8:10 p.m. at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born January 8, 1931, in Hazard, KY., she was the daughter of Jasper and Cora Halcomb. She married Bercher Campbell in May 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2008.

Mrs. Campbell had been a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Larry and Joe Campbell both of North Vernon; four sisters, Joyce Eversole of Chesterton, IN. Evelee Bowling of Hazard, KY., Mary Ann Creech and Corsie Hibbard Slemp, Ky. And two brothers, Russell Halcomb of Lexington, KY., and Jasper Halcomb of Delphia, KY.; three grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Rufus Halcomb and two sisters, Dorothy McNulty and Orkie Ison.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be held on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
