Arlene Peck, 96, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Vernon Cemetery.

Born June 26, 1922, in Jennings County, Arlene was the daughter of Arlie and Susie Tungate Phillips.  She married Robert Peck in July of 1942.  He preceded her in death on November 22, 2011.

She graduated from Indiana University with a master's degree and retired as an administrator with Jennings County Schools.  She enjoyed painting and her grandchildren's sporting events.

Arlene is survived by her son, Tony (Jeanie) Peck of Columbus; brother, Arlie (Janice) Phillips, Jr. of Hanover; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Small of Franklin, Heather (Steven) Bush, Erin (Bret) Richter and Robby Peck all of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, Maggie and Ben Small, Landon, Claire and Everett Bush, Levi Richter, Hattie and Piper Peck.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Cecil Phillips.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Riley Children's Hospital.
