Anna G. Ritz, 87, of North Vernon, passed away at 5:19 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Jonathan Purkhiser and Rev. Larry Sharpe will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the funeral home.

Born on November 13, 1934, in Lafayette, TN, Anna was the loving daughter of Almer and Jewell (Doss) Marsh. She was united in marriage to John Ritz on April 4, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2017.

Anna was a member of the Church of Christ in Seymour. She had worked for the school system with the Latch Key program. Anna enjoyed playing euchre, working puzzles, playing dominos and other games. She cherished spending time with her family and friends. Most of all she loved making memories with her grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Mike (Christina) Ritz of Brownstown, and Mark Ritz of North Vernon; daughters, Marsha Manning, Marnita Richart, and Marla (Chris) Weber all of North Vernon; daughter in law, Tricia Ritz of North Vernon; seventeen grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, James Marsh.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Almer and Jewell Marsh; husband, John Ritz; son, Kenny Ritz; brothers, Glen, Raymond, Travis, and Ronnie Marsh.
