Anna (Horn) Perkinson, 82, of Madison, passed away on March 17, 2025. Born on April 18, 1942 in Irvine, Kentucky, Anna was the loving daughter of Beverly and Amanda Horn. She graduated from Holton High School in 1960 and retired from Lowe's Distribution Center after many years of service. She was a member of the First Church of God in Madison.
Anna was truly one of a kind. She dedicated herself tirelessly to her work and cherished every moment spent with her family. Her love for singing hymns filled the home with warmth, and her passion for puzzles brought countless hours of joy. Anna had a generous spirit and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true meaning of compassion.
She is survived by son, Randy (Debbie) Perkinson of Vernon; daughter, Lana (David) McDarment of Madison; brothers, Ron (Mary) Horn of Versailles, Jim (Loretta) Horn of Madison and Kenny Horn of Madison; grandchildren, Jessica and Adam Starrett, Zachary Niverson, Mallory McDarment, Jeremy McDarment, Ricky Perkinson, Ronnie Perkinson, Shaun Perkinson, Megan Perkinson, Cory Perkinson, Kristen Perkinson, Destiny Weirick and Eddie Weirick; great grandchildren, Brice Starrett, Collin Starrett, Taylor Niverson, Makenna Niverson, Michea Tchoula, Jazlyn Perkinson, Myah Perkinson, and Easton Perkinson; and great great grandchild Kailand Grey Starrett.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Perkinson; brothers, Kevin Horn, Wayne Horn, Bob Horn and Keith Horn; sisters, Clara Williams, Alma Landry and Wanda Sizemore.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Anna's remarkable life. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Pastor Bobby Leahigh will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greendale Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the funeral service.
Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the American Alzheimer's Association.
While we will miss her dearly, Anna's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire us all. She touched the lives of many, and her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
