Ann McLeod, 76, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:00 a.m., on Friday, November 05, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service with the rosary being conducted at 3:30 p.m.

Born on October 8, 1945, in Columbus, Ann was the loving daughter of Robert and Jane (Walser) Ringer. She was united in marriage to Richard McLeod on June 2, 1967. He survives.

Ann was a Kindergarten teacher for 26 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul where she loved helping others. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Ann loved reading and flowers, but most of all she cherished her family and enjoyed making memories with them. Ann enjoyed and looked forward to leading her bible study group with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Richard McLeod of North Vernon, she is survived by son, Andrew (Leah) McLeod of Scipio; daughter, Erika (Jeff) Downs of North Vernon; brother, Robert "Bob" (Carol) Ringer of North Vernon; grandchildren, Matt and Dylan McLeod of Bloomington, Bryce Downs of North Vernon, Kaleb Downs of Denver, CO, and Owen Miller of North Vernon.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jane Ringer; sister, Mary Jo Huckelberry.
