Amy Lee McCammon, 37, of Vernon, passed away at 3:16 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at St. Vincent Jennings County Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Dale Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022.

Born on July 20, 1984, in Columbus, Amy was the loving daughter of Michael and Terrie (Miles) McCammon.

Amy graduated from the Jennings County High School in 2002. She had worked in the dietary department for the St. Vincent Jennings County Hospital and for the Schneck Hospital. Amy was a social butterfly and loved talking on her phone to anyone and everyone that would listen to her. One of the few things Amy did not like was driving at night. She enjoyed spending her free time with her family. Most of all she cherished her children all the memories made with them and they were her pride and joy and she was beyond proud to be their mom.

In addition to her parents, Mike and Terrie McCammon both of North Vernon, survivors include daughters, Katelyn McCammon and Kelsey Finney both of North Vernon; son, Brody Gabbard of North Vernon; sisters, Kelly (Greg Burnette) Hunt of Columbus, Tara (Bill) Graham of Commiskey, and Randi (Jon) Adams of Dupont; brother, Joey (Leana Choate) McCammon of North Vernon; grandmother, Fabian McCammon of North Vernon.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the family for the children's fund.
