Allen C. Minger, 73, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 6:17 p.m., on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Bob Ley will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the funeral home.

Born on January 15, 1948, in Decatur, Allen was the loving son of Alfred and Edith (Kyle) Minger. He was united in marriage to Linda Vermillion on June 7, 1980.

Allen drove a semi for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports. Most of all, Allen loved and cherished spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Linda Minger of Elizabethtown, he is survived by son, Aaron (Mary) Minger of Elizabethtown; stepson, Daryl McGuire of Madison; grandchildren, Ian Minger of Elizabethtown, and Myles McGuire of Madison.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith Minger; sister, Carolyn Minger.
