Allen Couch , 90 , of Paris Crossing, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at his daughter's residence in Bloomfield, IN, after several months of failing health.
Born March 24, 1918 in Typo, KY, he was the son of Benjamin and Eliza Eversole Couch, they preceded him in death. He married Ruth Stamper, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Hamilton-Cosco where he worked in maintenance. Mr. Couch enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Couch and their five children, sons, Theodore Couch of Greensburg, IN and Roger Couch of Deputy, IN; three daughters, Leatha Couch Quinlan, Martinsville, VA, Leona Couch McKee, Bloomington, IN and Loretta Couch Higgins, Bloomfield, IN; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with eh Rev. David Baxter officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery in Deputy, IN.
