Allen L. Arbuckle, 74, of North Vernon passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Gill Hawkes will officiate. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services.

Born July 16, 1945, in Columbus, Allen was the son of Alfred and Martha (Bouerly) Arbuckle. He married Beth Harger on August 5, 2000. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2006.

Allen had taught printing at Versailles Vocational School and owned Arbuckle printing. Allen also drove a fuel truck for many years. He enjoyed driving a school bus for 31 years and was very proud. Allen enjoyed four wheeling, camping, woodworking, and boating.

Allen is survived by daughters, Nancy Brown of Shelbyville, Theresa McClain of Greenwood, Heather Pehm of Kentucky, Missy Leudeman of Seymour, and Joanna Arbuckle Leach of Bullhead City, AZ; sons, Tony Merry of North Vernon and Daniel Alfred Arbuckle of Anaheim, CA; and several grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beth Arbuckle; sister, Brenda Arbuckle who died at birth; and brothers, Charlie and Mike Arbuckle.
