Obituary

Alice Manley, 80, of Columbus, passed away at 12:47 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born March 14, 1936, in Nineveh, Mrs. Manley was the daughter of Ralph and Irene (Mead) Bassett. On April 19, 1958, she married Rollie Manley, Jr., and he survives.

A homemaker, Alice enjoyed taking short trips and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Rollie Manley, Jr., of Columbus; a daughter, Gayle (Gene) Hopkins of Columbus; two sons, Rahn (Tammy) Manley of Indianapolis and Chris (Tonya) Manley of Columbus; sister, Judith Potter of Indianapolis; brother, Norman Bassett of Florida; six grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew Hopkins, Samantha Ansara, and Alexis, Mariah and Kyle Manley; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rosalee Clayburn and Marilyn Jo Bassett.

In accordance to her wishes, there will be a service of remembrance at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
