Alice Stearns Edmundson

April 02, 1938 - July 21, 2010

Alice Marie Stearns Edmundson 72, of North Vernon passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 7:40 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana.

Born April 2, 1938 in Seymour, she was the daughter of the late Audley Carl and Lillian Grace Cannon Stearns.

She was employed at the North Vernon Plain Dealer & Sun as a type setter, Arvins Industries, Regal Rugs, Simmons Greenhouse-Landscaping, Oscar Elsner Construction, Hauersperger Construction, Pettigrew Construction , Jennings County Courthouse and Jennings County Schools, NAC, Plumb Creek Lumber of Columbia Falls, Montana, Log Cabin Inn of Hungry Horse, Montana. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Kelli Edmundson, and Teri Brown both of North Vernon; four grandchildren, Kami, Kay-Kay, Olivia and Derek of North Vernon, five sisters, Helen Hooker DeCamp, Marilyn McIntosh, Kate Zech, Linda Lutes, Sandy Gillespie all of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Fred and Donald Stearns.

Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church. with Rev. Richard Burcham officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
