Mark S. Leach, 57, of North Vernon, passed away unexpectedly at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Jonathan Meyer will Officiate. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2020 with the Rosary Service being conducted at 3:30 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.
Born on October 28, 1962, in Seymour, Mark was the son of Duard Holmes and Nora Jean (Beuhler) Leach. He was united in marriage to Cara Bott on October 18, 1986. She survives.
Mark owned and operated Mark’s Car Brite for 29 years. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus 1631. He was devoted to his hour of adoration every week in the Adoration Chapel at St. Mary’s. Mark was avid UK Fan as well as a Green Bay Packers Fan. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and swimming in his pool in the Summertime. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Cara Leach of North Vernon, Mark is survived by daughters, Autumn (Vince) Yeager of Westport, and Cassie Leach of Indianapolis; son, Brock Leach of North Vernon; brother, David (Linda) Leach of North Vernon; sisters, Mary Barlow of North Vernon, and Lisa Butler of Florida; grandchildren, Carter, Owen, and Noah.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Duard and Nora Jean Leach; brothers, James and Mike Leach.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to St. Mary’s School.
