Lillian Goldman

Lillian Goldman, 79, of Butlerville, passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Premier Healthcare in North Vernon.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.  Rev. Richard Burcham will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Born August 29, 1938, in Jenkins, KY, Lillian was the daughter of the late Thurman H. and Rosa Belle Jessee Swindall, Sr.  She married Pete Goldman in 1971 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2006.

Lillian had lived most of her life in Louisville, but had moved to the area in 2007.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, loved bingo and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Taelisha Sullivan of Louisville; and two sisters, Deanna Sullivan of North Vernon and Patricia Ashman of Butlerville.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Janice Lee Swindall Sullivan; one granddaughter, Andrea Sullivan; five brothers, Bobby Edmond Swindall, Van Buran Swindall, Thurman Hansford Swindall, Jr., Charles Lee Swindall and Eddie Swindall, Sr.; and four sisters, Katherine Louise Shaw, Margaret Rose Tomblin, Caroline Pate and Laura Swindall.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
