Kristian Turnquist Obituary

Kristian J. Turnquist, 22, of Columbus, died on Monday, August 12, 2019, in Orange Co.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Jim Applegate will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 - 3 p.m. at the funeral home Saturday, August 17, 2019.

Born March 29, 1997, in Indianapolis, Kristian was the son of Roger and Stacia Ingram Turnquist.

Kristian graduated from Floyd Central High School in 2015 and had served for the past 4 years in the Indiana Army National Guard with a current rank of Specialist. He was currently employed with Cummins in Manufacturing. Kristian enjoyed camping, hiking, 4 wheeling, and was always known for joking around. He loved spending time with his friends and family. Kristian had a huge heart and had a contagious smile. He was loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Roger and Stacia Turnquist of Columbus, survivors include brothers, Kevin (Lorraine) Turnquist of Indianapolis and Logan Turnquist of Columbus; and grandparents, John and Marla Baker of Campbellsburg.    

Kristian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gayle Martin, Gary Turnquist, and David Ingram.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to HHT 1-152 CAV Family Readiness Group.
