Celebrating the life of Jackie Lea Shoopman Gilleece

Jackie Lea Shoopman Gilleece, 46 of Franklin went on to be with the Lord at 10:53 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Johnson Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

Born December 31, 1964 in Franklin, Jackie was the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson and Mary Belle Frazee Shoopman.

Mrs. Gilleece had been a member of Grace Apostolic Tabernacle in Greenwood. She loved fishing, reading, getting out and enjoying life, and most of all, spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by a son, Bruce Wade of Franklin, a daughter, Melissa and her husband Jerry Wilson of Nineveh, four grandsons, Riley, Corbin, Jayden, and Zion Wilson, two granddaughters, Layla and Aubree Wade, a half-brother, Bill Phelps of Edinburgh and half-sister, Diana Cowan also of Edinburgh.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2011 at the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle in Edinburgh with Rev. Marty Bales officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church with visitation also Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
