Arthur E. Anderson

Arthur E. Anderson, 90, of North Vernon, formerly of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Tom Mattingly will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Born June 5, 1926, in Jacksonville, FL, Arthur was the son of Arthur and Carolyn (Henson) Anderson.

Arthur served in the United States Navy, and was employed by United Telephone Company as a service technician. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, diving and animals.

Survivors include a son, Sidney Anderson of Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Debbie White of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa Anderson of St. Augustine, FL and Pam Lane of North Vernon; a brother, Earl Anderson of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren, Jenni White, Catherine Douangnouanexay, and Lauren, Tori, and Emma Lane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Jean Hauschild.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Jennings County 4-H Livestock, or Freedom Hunt Southern Swing.
